HOUSE OF MATAHATI RESIDENCY
Is an artist residency programmed for the local young artist under the mentor of the MATAHATI. The selected residences will be provided with the art materials and public transport allowance for them to produce an artworks in the studio space at HOM for the period of six months.
MAR is workshop base residency. By attending the studio at the regular basis the residence will have more time on developing on their skill and technique. A constant interaction between the resident and MATAHATI artist as well guest artist will generate more space for a better ideas and concept for the artworks. Activities also will be insert to give the residence an exposure and maximizing the communication opportunities with the local art scene. At the end of residency period, an exhibition will be held to showcase all the artworks.

PROJECT MAGER
Project Mager is a Residency exchange programmed between two contemporary art group from the Asean Region. This project is supervised / organized by local art group called Matahati, to understand more about the growth an functions of an art groups within their societies and countries.
Matahati hopes the project would open up new networking and give a better chance for the Asean art groups to communicate amongst them, artistically or ideologically, for a wider and better understanding of the local and regional arts and cultures.
This programme would also expose the artist and local community about the similarities and difference art forms brought in by foreign artist.
To show how important for a group or an art society to voice out their vision and ideas to achieve or raise the standard of the visual arts within the context of contemporary arts.
Matahati shall invite an art group from one of Asean countries to Kuala Lumpur in order to combine, working together, exchange ideas and to collaborate for a month. Within that period, both groups shall attend and participate in various art activities such as art talk, workshops and discussion with local artist and general public. At the end of the month, an exhibition shall be held prior to the activities organized by host.
Three months after the exhibition, Matahati group would in turn be the resident artist in the guest group, which was previously invited to Kuala Lumpur.
